Four Quadrant Bipolar Power Supplies - Precision and High Power


IECO's modular design enables both bipolar and unipolar power supplies. IECO's four quadrant bipolar magnet power supplies are based on its amplifier technology. They are ideally suited for e.g. pulsed magnet applications. Their currents range from +/-40 A to more than +/-2000 A, with voltages up to +/-1100 V. Systems can be for single channel configurations or multichannel implementations of up to 20 channels or more.

Systems typically include powerful mains power supply sections, ranging from 5 kW to over 300 kW.

High Performance Four Quadrant Bipolar Power Supply (BPS) product family is IECO's newest product expansion in its bipolar product category. These stand-alone devices come with AC-input and are optimized for low ripple and noise. With its 6 kW/4 kW capacity in 5 U size, the PBS is the most compact truly bipolar power supply in the global markets.

High Precision Four Quadrant Bipolar Power Supply Systems

IECO's modular amplifier structure provides excellent platform for dimensioning the system according to exact needs of the application. This will eliminate costs incurred by over-dimensioning, without risking system reliability.

IECO Bipolar Power Supply Systems are full blown precision four quadrant bipolar power supply cabinets, including high precision power supplies, capacitor banks, AC/DC section, and interface to customer's control system. Systems can be provided from +/- 40 A up to +/- 2000 A, and from +/- 200 V up to +/- 1100 V.

AC/DC power supply sections for 15 kW, 30 kW, 50 kW, 100 kW and 200 kW are available for the different customer requirements in combination with the IECO high precision power amplifiers. Both 400 and 480 VAC input voltages are supported. 208 VAC is supported with custom version. All hardware is integrated into heavy duty cabinets for different heights, depending on the configuration.

Systems can be provided for single, double, and multiple channel requirements.

High Performance Four Quadrant Bipolar Power Supplies

IECO high performance bipolar power supplies (BPS product family) provide a truly four quadrant bipolar operation. Due to the topology selected, no polarity switch is needed and therefore smooth passing through zero is achieved. The devices are optimized for low ripple and noise and have a bandwidth of over 10 kHz. The BPS products can work both in current and voltage modes.

BPS products come with an AC input and their 5 U size make these products the most compact bipolar power supplies in the market.
